Free Creative Writing Workshop on Saturday

This Saturday at the Citizens Theatre you are invited to join us for a free creative writing workshop with avant-garde theatre-maker David Leddy. The workshop will run from 1-4pm. It is free but ticketed, so phone 0141 429 0022 to book your place.

David is the writer and director of Sub Rosa (5 stars Metro/4 stars Herald) - currently on at the theatre. He is based in Glasgow and specialises in work that combines dramatic new writing with elements of live art and site-specific performance. Outside Scotland his work has been shown in London, Amsterdam, Boston, Buenos Aires and Delhi. He is the first person in Scotland to complete a practice based PhD in theatre and his work is studied on various undergraduate courses in the UK. Recent work includes the highly acclaimed Home Hindrance, performed for six people each night in Leddy’s own home, and the sell-out Susurrus, where audiences followed a map around Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens and listened to the piece on headphones. He was recently a recipient of the Robert Louis Stevenson fellowship for writers as well as a fellowship at the Global Arts Village in India, where Sub Rosa was written.
